It could be challenging to decide between two of the top survey tools and form builders. In this moment of uncertainty, I usually select a tool that assists me in creating visually appealing forms.
I place more emphasis on the appearance and feel of the design that I believe will help in getting attention.
To fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of Google Forms and Typeform, I needed to conduct an extensive study. Both online applications for creating forms offer features that are similar to those Typeform and Google Forms provide.

After a comprehensive examination, I discovered Typeform was the better option. What does it give Typeform an advantage over Google Forms? Let’s take a deep dive into each of the apps for building forms and look at them for a more informed decision.

Google Forms allows you to create simple logic leaps. E.g., Let’s say that a form includes three options. The form should be redirected to the correct section based on the answer selected.
It can be set up effortlessly in Google Forms using the ” Redirect to section based upon answer” choice.

For reports, all data that Google Forms collects is saved in Excel spreadsheets. To convert this data into spreadsheets, you will need some manual work.
It is necessary to use the formulae within the spreadsheet to extract conclusions from the information. There aren’t any reports available in default.
The process of exporting data is easy and can be completed with a click of an icon.
Forms created with Typeform have a beautiful aesthetic. It’s enjoyable and straightforward to use. It only displays just one or two questions at the moment, and the transition between questions is entirely effortless.
Google Forms offers elementary forms. The forms available as defaults aren’t stunning, yet they fulfill the function.
If you like a flashy user interface, Google Forms is not the solution for you. Form customization isn’t that impressive. You can’t easily modify the form by using HTML.

Google Forms has several templates you can choose from within the Gallery. The templates are theme-based and separated into Work, Personal, Education, etc.
Each section comes with several templates. All you need do is select the the appropriate template and then alter it according to your requirements.

Typeform allows direct integration with a lot of the most popular apps, including MailChimp, Hubspot, Google Sheets. Some of the apps that Typeform has integrated with are shown in the screenshot below.
Google Forms supports a lot of productivity enhancements. However, when it comes to integration with other applications, there is a dependence on third-party software, such as Zapier.

While Google Form provides the majority of the functions (required to satisfy business requirements) at no cost, there are a few areas that have proven to be a significant disappointment.
The biggest issue comes from aesthetics. The design of the form is too straightforward, and the option to customize it has been limited to a minimum.
In addition, it cannot do multiple logic leaps, and the absence of standard reports is a significant disadvantage.
If you’re not concerned with any of the mentioned limitations and gathering data from users is the only thing that matters to manage the data by hand, Google Forms is the best option.

However, though Typeform provides paid plans, users are more likely to prefer them over Google Forms because of how they’ve dealt with the details.
